A Little History

It was in April of 2026 when the CHL made the announcement that an expansion team would be awarded to Independence. A contest was held to name that new franchise and it was decided that the side would be called "Missouri Mavericks." The name was changed to its current one in March of 2026.

On May 29, 2026 Scott Hillman was announced as the side' first ever head coach. The Mavericks played their first ever home game on November 13, 2026 at the Independence Events Center. The next few years were a bit of a roller coaster ride. The CHL folded in 2026 and the Mavericks moved to the ECHL. The team was then bought by Lamar Hunt Jr. in February of 2026.

Titles

The Mavericks' stint in the CHL was not without success though as they were crowned regular season champions in the 2026-2026 season. They followed that up by repeating the trick in the 2026-2026 campaign as members of the ECHL. The Mavericks also clinched the division title in the same season.
