Indiana Pacers Tickets

Date & Time

Pacers are believed to have tons of potential to set the basketball court on fire, but unfortunately their fans have yet to experience that moment. The Indiana Pacers, a notable franchise of the National Basketball Association, represent Indianapolis in the national games. The team started off well when formed in 1967. From 1970 to 1973, the Pacers won three American Basketball Association Championships. They joined the NBA in 1976. The team's performance as members of the ABA was enviable; they won five Conference titles and three Championships. As an NBA franchise, the Pacers' record is quite poor; they have missed dozens of playoffs and have been unable to win any major titles. The astonishing fact here is that the fans of the Indiana Pacers have not stopped supporting and cheering for them, and therefore the demand for Indiana Pacers tickets has never gone down. It is time for the Pacers to show their muscles.

Indiana Pacers Cities

  • Reggie Miller has played the highest number of minutes for the franchise with 47,619 minutes to date.
  • Dale Davis has the highest number of offensive rebounds in the history of the Pacers with 2276 to his name.
  • The Pacers official mascot is Boomer, a highly energetic cat that does trick shots during halftime.
  • Reggie Miller has played the highest number of games for the franchise with 1,389 to date.
  • The Pacers name is derived from harness racing pacers, a horce race with a long history with the city of Indiana.

With the merger of the American Basketball Association and the National Basketball Association, the Indiana Pacers were among the San Antonio Spurs, Denver Nuggets, and New York Nets to join the NBA. Compared to the other teams, the Pacers were on weaker financial grounds and their monetary troubles kept chasing them throughout their professional career. The team had to sell their good players to join the NBA and later they reached the brink of being transferred to another city. It was then that the local TV station came forward, arranged a telethon, and sold record passes for the game in about 16 hours. These efforts invoked love and passion in the locals for basketball and respect for their team. The Pacers played their first NBA season in 1977-78. The team could not show any impressive performance and failed to qualify for the playoffs. It is believed that the trade between the players was the factor behind it.

The team won their first Conference title in 1995; it took the Indiana Pacers 19 years to get their first major victory. During these two decades, the team missed most of the playoffs and became a spectator to the rest of the serious games. The Pacers were unable to cling to this conference title the next year in 1996, but they did achieve something jaw-dropping. They defeated the Chicago Bulls twice that year and compensated for their poor performance of that year. The season of 1997-98 brought some hope for the fans of the Indiana Pacers. The coach Larry Bird helped the team get in shape and rekindle the passion for victories. Under his coaching, the Pacers set the franchise record of 58-24 and improved by 19 levels from their previous position. Some of the famous players from the team’s squad of 1998 include Dale Davis, Derrick McKey, Rik Smits, Antonio Davis, and Reggie Miller.

The following season, 1998-1999, turned out to be more promising for the fans and management of the Indiana Pacers. They showed tremendous improvement and defeated the Milwaukee Bucks, Philadelphia 76ers, and New York Knicks to face the Los Angeles Lakers in the first ever NBA Finals match. Despite the psychological pressure and strong performance by the Lakers, the Pacers lost the game. Since then, they have been struggling to win the NBA Championship, although their improvement has been slow but gradual. The team has won a total of four Division titles, the latest of which was in 2004. Their only Conference title was achieved in 2000. The team and its fans have been craving for a notable victory for the past ten years. Hopefully, the stars will soon shine their light on the Pacers and show them the road to glory; in the meantime, the fans are requested to stay put.

Indiana Pacers play their home games at Conseco Fieldhouse. The sports arena was opened in 1999 to serve the increasing recreational needs of the citizens. Conseco Fieldhouse is designed for basketball and arena football and opened in November 1999 with a construction cost exceeding $180 million. It is currently the home field for the Indiana Pacers and Indiana Fever. The fans, of course, do not miss an opportunity to catch the Pacers live, but when the team is playing at their home ground, missing that match is a grave mistake. Get your Indiana Pacers tickets ASAP.

Indiana Pacers Schedule 2019

The Indiana Pacers have had a lukewarm start to the 2019-20 season. The Indiana Pacers' 2019 schedule is tough, no doubt, as the team has to play strong sides like the Milwaukee Bucks and the Orlando Magic. The Pacers have had their share of injuries, but the team has put up a convincing rotation to stay competitive in the last NBA season. Malcolm Brogdon has stepped up as a tremendous point guard and is getting full support from T.J. McConnell, Justin Holiday, and Doug McDermott. With many games still to go, Indiana Pacers ticket holders have a lot to look forward to, especially since the side is faring well against the competition.
