The Houston Roughnecks’ home field is the TDECU Stadium located on the University of Houston campus. It is also the home of the Houston Cougars, the University of Houston’s representatives in collegiate football.
The arena is named after the Texas Dow Employees Credit Union (TDECU), the biggest credit union in Space City. Built on the location of the old Robertson Stadium, it has a capacity of 40,000 plus standing room. The TDECU Stadium opened on August 29, 2014 and cost $128 million to construct. It will host the XFL Championship Game on April 26, 2020.

The Houston Roughnecks played their opening game in XFL 2020 against the Los Angeles Wildcats on February 8, 2020. The home game ended 37-17 in the Roughnecks’ favor. They play their first road game of the season in Week 3 when the Roughnecks square off against the Tampa Bay Vipers at the Raymond James Stadium on February 22, 2020.
