Following a dry spell, in terms of trophies, the Blue Devils have experienced a turnaround in fortunes Under Head Coach David Cutcliffe. Cutcliffe is now in his eighth year as coach and under his guidance, the Blue Devils have once again gained national prominence.

 

2015 Season:

During the 2015 season, the Duke Blue Devils posted an 8-5 overall record. The team recorded memorable victories over the North Carolina Central Eagles, the Army Black Knights and their rivals, Virginia Tech.

The Blue Devils defeated the Eagles 55-0 and posted an impressive 44-3 victory over the Black Knights. The Blue Devils won a tense, closely fought game away at Virginia Tech 45-43 after four over times.

Duke‘s football team’s performances during the season won them an invitation to the Pinestripe Bowl, where they faced the Indiana Hoosiers. The game took play at the Yankee Stadium in New York in front of thirty-seven thousand fans. The Blue Devils defeated Indiana 44-41 after overtime to win the 2015 Pinestripe Bowl.

 

Pittsburgh Panthers:

The Pittsburgh Panthers boast one of the most successful college football programs in the country. The Panthers have won nine national championships and rank among the top twenty football programs in the country in terms of overall wins.
