Other than hosting the Tigers for their Spring Training Grapefruit League engagements, the ballpark is also home to the Lakeland Flying Tigers and the Gulf Coast Tigers. Both teams are minor league affiliates of the Detroit Tigers. The Publix Field has a total seating capacity of 8,500. The largest crowd ever witnessed at the venue was in March, 2011 when 10,307 people watched the Tigers play the Boston Red Sox during Spring Training.
