Intercollegiate sporting events are quite popular in the United States where nearly every single university has an active sporting department which organizes and controls a number of different athletic teams that represent the university in different sports.

The teams have been a part of the Big East Conference ever since they were enrolled into it in the year 2005. They compete in the first division of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The Blue Demons are currently under the stewardship of Jean Lenti Ponsetto who is the university’s athletics director and he has been tasked with the job of taking these teams to new heights. Apart from that, their other teams are also quite popular and are known to be quite competitive regardless of whoever their opponents may be. The DePaul Blue Demons ’ official colors are royal blue and scarlet. The university has a number of stadiums, each of which is designed to accommodate different sporting teams. There is the Wish Field soccer stadium, the Allstate Arena which houses the men’s basketball team and there is the Sullivan Athletic Center which is home to the women’s basketball team.
