Davidson Wildcats will be competing against a number of teams in this coming season. One of the most anticipated competitions will be between Wildcats and Duke Blue Devils. The game is to be played at Charlotte Bobcats Arena. Duke Blue Devils are twenty six varsity teams belonging to Duke University, currently competing in Atlantic Coast Conference. Till the date, Blue Devils have won a number of NCAA Division I championships in different sports. They have also won 119 ACC championship, forty four of which were captured 1999 onwards. Davidson Wildcats’ women team will also be competing against Lady Volunteers. Lady Volunteers are women Tennessee Volunteers teams belonging to the University of Tennessee. The teams compete in NCAA Division I in Southeastern Conference. The university facilitates ten women sports including basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, rowing, softball, volleyball, swimming & diving, track & field and tennis. Lady Volunteers have won eight basketball championships and three track & field championships till the date.

The venue opened in December of 1987. In the history of basketball arenas, Boling Arena is considered as one of the biggest facilities within the United States, accommodating around 21,678 fans in each game.
