The upcoming 2020 Rodeo Tour encapsulates all the excitement of the Western lifestyle events. Cinch World's Toughest Rodeo is bringing the thrilling action to US stadiums beginning in January and culminating with a show at the PNC Arena in Raleigh, NC on Sunday, March 29. CWTR was officially sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association in 2019. Every year, it aims to bring an event that is better and bigger than before, creating more excitement among rodeo patrons.
Cinch Worlds Toughest Rodeo
Cinch World's Toughest Rodeo has been around since 1979. It started off with a traditional rodeo format. Initially, the shows were conducted at indoor facilities. In just a matter of three years, it gained a lot of popularity and became the largest private rodeo company in the US. CWTR adopted the “Bulls and Broncs” format in 1996. Over time, it has evolved and incorporated many innovative strategies to make the shows more professional and successful.
Pre-Show
Over the past ten years, a free pre-show has been added to the original format to lure more fans. It offers many activities for the fans on the dirt, such as behind-the-scene pony rides and the chance to sit on a bull. The pre-show also creates an opportunity for fans to meet their favorite contestants, have photographs taken with them and with the two bulls, Sonny and Dollar. Such attractions make rodeo a more interactive and family-friendly event. Even before the main show begins, fans have plenty to entertain themselves with.
The Show
Purchase your tickets to the Cinch World's Toughest Rodeo before they sell out and enjoy one of the oldest competitive sports in the western United States. This is your chance to witness the absolute best in cowboy and animal athletes as they compete for the title of the "Toughest in the World." The challengers aim to make it to the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, with the ultimate prize being the World Champion title. The main show features exceptional feats of saddle bronc riding, bull riding, bareback riding, and barrel racing. Twelve contestants participate in each event, vying for the head-to-head "main event" showdown round, which features the top two of each event. The most thrilling and popular of all these acts is the extreme bull riding sport, where the rider must stay on the bull for more than 8 seconds. There is also a round to give opportunity to cowgirls, as they compete against the clock in the Women's Barrel Racing round.
