The Buffalo Bills have had an interesting ride in the NFL till now. They have made it to four Super Bowls over the years but have come up short on each occasion.

The Buffalo Bills were formed in the year 1959 and began to play from 1960 onwards. They won two successive AFL Championships in 1964 and 1965 to become the first, and till date, the only Buffalo based professional side to win back-to-back league titles. On top of that, they also clinched three straight division crowns in 1964, 1965, and 1966.
It was the start of 1990s when the Buffalo Bills really hit their stride. From 1990 – 1993, they went to four straight Super Bowls but fell short at the final hurdle on every occasion. They went on to win four straight conference titles during the same period as well.

The Buffalo Bills have strong rivalries with the Miami Dolphins and the New England Patriots.
Miami Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins and the Buffalo Bills have an odd rivalry because the two cities are quite far apart. Miami is a subtropical resort center while Buffalo is usually snow-covered. However, both teams are members of the AFC East and as a result, face-off at least twice every season.
The December 1995 game between the two in Buffalo is considered one of the highlights of this rivalry. In that game, the Dolphins came to Buffalo for a third time since 1990. They were kept scoreless for the first three quarters of the game and the Bills were leading 27-0. Miami attempted a comeback in the fourth quarter with 22 points. However, they were not able to catch up and the Bills won the game.
New England Patriots
The Bills-Patriots rivalry began to heat up in the 2016 season. New England fans wanted their team to beat the Buffalo Bills because of what had transpired that year. The 2016 game was played in Week 4 at the Gillette Stadium. The Patriots lacked a quarterback since Tom Brady was suspended. His primary backup, Jimmy Garoppolo was also unable to play due to injury. As a result, the Patriots were weak and Bills took full advantage by inflicting a shocking 16-0 loss on the home team, a first shutout loss for the Pats at home since 1993.
Their rematch later on in the year was pretty interesting as well. The Patriots avenged their previous loss by winning the game 41-25.
