Allen Americans: A Short But Eventful Existence

The Allen Americans came into being in 2009 and entered the Central Hockey League (CHL) that year as one of its expansion teams. They were part of the CHL for five seasons until it folded in 2014, at which point the Americans joined the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) along with various other CHL sides.

These included the Wichita Thunder, Rapid City Rush, Tulsa Oilers, Quad City Mallards, Brampton Beast and the Missouri Mavericks. Together with the Americans, all these teams have been a part of the ECHL since the 2014-15 regular season. Watch them go to war against your favorite side by getting Allen Americans tickets.

The Americans are currently affiliated with the NHL’s Minnesota Wild and the AHL’s Iowa Wild. Their previous NHL affiliates include the Dallas Stars, the Colorado Avalanche and the San Jose Sharks. In the AHL, the Americans have been affiliated with the Texas Stars, the Lake Erie Monsters and the San Jose Barracuda.

Serial Winners

The Americans were formed just over a decade ago. However, that has not stopped them from becoming a very formidable and successful unit. During their time in the old CHL, they won the Ray Miron President’s Cup twice in five years. Other honors included 2 regular season titles, 2 Division crowns and 3 Conference championships.

Since becoming a part of the ECHL, the side from The Lone Star State have won 2 Kelly Cups, 2 Conference titles, and 1 Division championship. They will be hungry to add to their gleaming trophy cabinet during the ongoing campaign. Book tickets now to follow their journey.
