About Film On The Rocks Blues Brothers

The Blue Brothers formed their band with the help Paul Shaffer, a pianist and music arranger. They hired Lou Marini, Tom Malone, Steve Cropper and Donald 'Duck' Dunn as their initial members. Their music is based on the R&B and blues mix of that time, placing a small focus on soul, rock and jazz. They introduced the world to rock styled blues music. The band is divided into the horn section, the five man rock section and the vocalist section. Their entire formation story was documented as 'Stories Behind the Making of The Blues Brothers' in 1998. The Blues Brothers started their run of albums with the release of the 1978 record 'Briefcase Full of Blues'. The album reached the top of the Billboard 200 and was eventually certified double Platinum. It features hits songs by Sam and Dave.
