About Rodeo Austin Sara Evans

Born in early 1971, a native of New Franklin Missouri, Sara Lynn Evans was the oldest girl among seven children. Music was always a part of her life. While growing up in rural Missouri, she performed with her family band at the age of four. When she was sixteen, she began performing in night club near Columbia, Missouri.  She was recognized as one of the country music treasures soon. In 2004, she was one of the top country radio artists and most played female singer on country music radio producing hit songs like “Born to fly”, “No place that far”, “Perfect” and “A Real Fine place to start”.

Sara Evans has been signed to RCA Records Nashville for her entire career. In July 1997, after her debut album “Three Chords & the Truth”, which was praised for being traditional, Evans was honored by George Jones to open a special show in Nashville. In 2000, “Born to Fly” was released which reached Top Ten of Billboard’s country charts. She got real breakthrough with “Restless” in 2003 and “Real fine place” in 2007 and then the hits just kept coming. “Restless” was a true depiction of her versatility. The album contained songs which were a blend of pop, blues and country. “Real Fine Place”, on the other hand, was the best debuting album of her career.
