The Offspring traces its roots back to the year 1983. It was the time when "Greg Kriesel" and "Bryan Holland" teamed for the first time and started to jam together. "Ixnay on the Hombre" was released two years later and it didn’t disappoint either. It was different than its predecessor in the sense that the sound was more mainstream rock. The effort was appreciated by everyone across the board. The album sold more than five million copies and earned five times platinum certification in the United States to make it the group’s second successive multi-platinum hit.

The follow-up album, "Americana" came out on 17th November, 1998.  The album sold well over one hundred and seventy five thousand copies in the first week alone. Americana went over five millions in terms of sales in the U.S. and topped that figure by another ten million globally. Riding on a wave of success The Offspring went on an epic world tour. They made their way to the studio again after that and came out with "Conspiracy of One," their next album. It sold more than million copies to go platinum.

"Splinter" came out in 2003 and was certified gold for its efforts. "Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace" was another gold certified release that hit the music stores in the year 2008 to cement the group’s place at the top as one of the truly iconic punk group.
