Squeeze, the popular British new wave and pop rock band, at the height of their stardom, were labelled ?the heirs to Lennon and McCartney?s throne?. The band was formed in London in 1974 and was at the forefront of UKs new wave period of the late 1970s. They are known for blockbuster hits such as ?Black Coffee in Bed,? ?Labelled with Love,? ?Tempted,? ?Another Nail in My Heart? and ?Cool for Cats.? While these singles made them favorite in their native UK, Squeeze became a household name in the US with hit singles, ?Hourglass,? ?Tempted? and ?853-5937.?
