Poison has been in the music scene for more than quarter of the century now and they are still as popular and as unique as when they started. Their music genre is glam metal and hard rock. So far, they have sold around 30 million records all around the world and 18.5 million alone in United States. Up to now they have released 17 albums overall. Poison came into existence in 1983. It was formed by Bret Michael (lead vocalist), Matt Smith (Guitarist), Bobby Dall (Bassist) and Rikki Rockett (Drummer). Bret Michaels and Rikki Rockett initially joined the band "Specters" in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. After that, they teamed up with the other two members to form the band Paris whose name was later changed to Poison. Matt Smith left the band in its early days and was replaced by C.C Deville. They signed a deal with Enigma Records and launched their first album "Look what the cat dragged in" in 1986. It proved to be the highest selling album in the history of Enigma. Due to their success they were included in various tours and performed their best.
The debut album sold around 4 million copies all around the world. In 1988, their second album "Open up and say….Ahh!" was released. It reached #2 on the American charts and sold around 8 million copies around the world. It included their most popular song to date - "Every Rose has its Thorns". They launched their own tour for the first time which was quite successful. They released their third album "Flesh & Blood" in 1990 and it also reached #2 on the American charts. They toured extensively to promote the album. Their next album "Native Tongue" was an average success amidst the entire rift between the band members. After that the album "Greatest Hits" was released which reached platinum status and was a major success. After many years, the band members were finally able to put their differences aside and reunite again. They toured in 1999 and fans welcomed them back with open arms. In 2000, they released "Crack a smile….and more" which included some tracks from their previous albums. Their latest album "Poison’d" has received good reviews from the critics.
Poison has achieved many awards and critic’s appreciation throughout their career. So far, 25 singles of the band has charted on the Billboard’s Hot 100 in top 40. Among them there have been 10 singles which ranked in top 10 and their most popular "Every Rose has its thorns" which reached # 1 on the Billboard charts.

Poison Embarks on First Tour in Four Years
Even though it has been a while since Poison released a new album, 2007 to be more specific when “Poison’d!” hit the shelves, the band’s popularity hasn’t lessened. In fact, during an interview Rikki Rockett admitted that one of the main reasons why the band isn’t motivated to release new music is that fans always want to listen to their hit numbers.
The Stadium Tour marks their return to touring after a gap of four years and what better way to make a comeback than to hit the road alongside hard rock legends like Def Leppard and Motley Crue. Poison tickets for their concerts on the 36-date 2022 run are now available. This could be your last chance of watching the “Life Goes On” singers live.
