Lana Del Rey grew up in Lake Placid, New York where she studied at the Kent School, a boarding school located in Connecticut. At the age of eighteen, she learned how to play the guitar after being taught by her uncle and began writing songs as well as performing live at different New York venues. She also studied at New York City’s Fordham University where she majored in Philosophy. She then took on the stage name Lana Del Rey after being inspired by the seaside of the various Spanish beaches and started attracting fans by the hundred soon after her live performances. She then released her first record in 2008, the EP Kill Kill which included three amazing songs; Gramma, Kill Kill and Yayo.
In 2010, Lana Del Rey released the studio album Lana Del Ray A.K.A Lizzy Grant which was her first studio album. It was produced by David Kahne and her father, Robert Grant, helped her market the album. It was also released on iTunes. This was followed by a number of international tours including one performance at Paradiso, a legendary rock music venue located in the capital city of the Netherlands, Amsterdam. In 2011, she was signed onto the record label Stranger Records and released her first single titled as Video Games. In 2011, she also entered into a deal with two other record labels, Polydor Records and Interscope Records. She also won the Q Award as the Next Big Thing and her song was part of Ringer, a TV series that airs on The CW channel. She appeared at venues such as the famous Bowery Ballroom, promoting her albums and being subject to a number of rave reviews by journalists from newspapers such as the New York Times and the Rolling Stone magazine. She also performed her debut single live on Dutch TV as part of the program, De Wereld Draait Door, and also on British TV show, Later…with Jools Holland. In the US, she performed at the Chateau Marmont located in West Hollywood, California.
In 2012, Lana Del Rey released the album Born to Die; it was first released in Ireland and then in the UK and the US, followed by a worldwide released. She performed live on the Saturday Night Live show, a performance that was reviewed on TV including on shows such as Nightly News on NBC. In 2012, her first album, Lana Del Rey A.K.A Lizzy grant is set for a re-release through Polydor Records and Interscope Records. She also began her modeling career after being signed onto the NEXT Model Management agency. She also performed live on the popular reality music contest, The Voice, in its UK version.

The beautiful and talented American singer Lana Del Rey’s new album Lust for Life received a nomination for the Best Pop Vocal Album at the Grammys. On the red carpet, when she was asked about what’s coming next, she replied “I’ve got this weird track called ‘Bartender’ that doesn’t belong to a record yet.” The singer added that she also intends to make a video for the song. She was also asked about her friendship with Father John Misty and whether the two have plans to collaborate to which she replied “I hope so.”

Popular American singer and songwriter BØRNS recently released a new song and it has guest vocals by none other than Lana Del Rey. Titled God Save Our Young Blood, the track will feature on BØRNS’ upcoming music record, Blue Madonna. The album is slated to release via Interscope Records on January 12.

Lana Del Rey Performs Leonard Cohen’s Chelsea Hotel No 2 With His Son
In a memorial concert for legendary singer and songwriter Leonard Cohen, Lana Del Rey took to the stage with his son Adam Cohen to perform the song Chelsea Hotel No 2. She has originally covered the song back in 2013.
Following Leonard Cohen’s death, Del Rey wrote on Instagram, “Not that it would've mattered to ya, it's just that other than Bob and Joan you were the only person I ever really felt spoke my language.”
The tribute concert also featured performances by Feist, Damien Rice and Elvis Costello.

Lana Del Rey released her second chart-topping album, ‘Lust for Life’ on July 21, 2017. The BRIT Award winner for the ‘International Female Solo Artist’ has now announced that she will be flying to Australia in 2018 to promote her latest record. She will be playing a total of three shows there. Her first gig is scheduled to take place in Brisbane on March 29th. She will then make her way to Melbourne to perform her second concert on March 31st. On April 2nd, Lana Del Rey is scheduled to play her third and final gig in Sydney.

Lana Del Rey is going to hit the road again in 2018 to support her latest chart-topping studio album, ‘Lust for Life.’ She will begin her, ‘LA to the Moon Tour’ by performing her first concert in the city of Minneapolis at the Target Center on January 5th. She will then make her way to Denver where the Brit winning singer-songwriter will play her second show at the Pepsi Center on January 7th. From there, Lana will go on to take the stage in cities like, Chicago, Boston, Nashville and Austin before she ends her trek by performing at the Waikiki Shell in Honolulu on February 28th.
