The Dude Perfect boys are arguably one of the finest sports entertainment groups in the world today. With YouTube subscribers in excess of 41 million, their channel is among the most popular on the video-sharing platform. In total, the group’s YouTube videos have garnered more than 7 billion views while their channel is the 4^th most subscribed in the United States.

Dude Perfect consists of Texas-based former college roommates Cody Jones, Garrett Hilbert, Tyler Toney, Cory Cotton and Coby Cotton. The boys have got a number of Guinness World Records to their name and have performed with the likes of the Harlem Globetrotters. The Formation

It all started about a decade or so ago during some fun and play in the group’s backyard. A simple case of betting on sandwiches with basketball shots proved to be the beginning of something that would bring them international fame and recognition in a very short time.

That little session was recorded on camera and a video was eventually posted on YouTube that featured various shots on the ranch of one of the boys. 200,000 views were garnered by that video in just one week. Sometime later, another trick shot video was put up which has more than 18 million views today.

Ever the philanthropists and responsible members of their community, Dude Perfect committed to work for the greater good of their community as their popularity and influence grew. Every time one of their videos reached 100,000 views, the group pledged that they would sponsor a child from humanitarian group Compassion International.

Skyrocketing Popularity

As their videos steadily got more attention, they were contacted by the team of ESPN’s E:60 for a segment. Dude Perfect accepted the invite and Tyler Toney converted a shot from the third floor of the Kyle Field. The shot travelled 3.9 seconds to set a new world record at the time.

This little promo of sorts led to more appearances on different sports broadcast shows like Around the Horn, Pardon the Interruption, SportsNation and First Take. Later on, they introduced the now uber-popular Panda mascot who is often the center of attention when jeering and taunting opposition players at Texas A&M University’s basketball games.

Over time, Dude Perfect have received several professional endorsements from notable athletes. These include the likes of NBA stars Tyreke Evans and Chris Paul, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, actor Paul Rudd, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, tennis superstar Serena Williams and country musician Luke Bryan. They have also recorded videos with English soccer clubs Arsenal F.C and Chelsea F.C.

In 2015, Harlem Globetrotters selected Dude Perfect in their annual draft while the group’s own television series was also approved later that year. Titled The Dude Perfect Show, it began airing on CMT in early 2016. A number of mobile phone games have also been released by the boys while Cory Cotton has written the nationally published book Go Big in which he talks about the things the group has learned trying to build a business in a social media-obsessed world.

Notable Records

Shooting from the third tier of the Kyle Field in 2009, Dude Perfect set a Guinness World Record for the “Longest Basketball Shot.” They later broke this record unofficially by taking a shot from the top of the NRG Stadium. Other records to their name include the “Longest Lego Walk (Barefoot)” while they also broke the record for the “Most Distance Travelled Rolling Across Exercise Balls.”

The boys from The Lone Star State are currently on a roll and it seems like the sky is the limit for them. The Dude Perfect 2020 Tour’ Announced

The Dude Perfect is a sports-centric group who are famously known for their trick shot videos that they upload on YouTube. The group's channel has over 49 million subscribers and their videos have received more than 9 billion total views. The musicians have are working on their feature-length project, 'Dude Perfect Trick Shots: Untold Stores' which will be released on December 17, 2019. They have also announced 'The Dude Perfect 2020 Tour' which will begin with a performance in Greenville on May 28, 2020. From there, the guys will go on to make their stops in different cities including Jacksonville, Orlando, Miami, Cleveland, Washington, Raleigh and San Antonio. They will be concluding the trek on July 23, 2020.
