Wicked Tickets

The musical that is called Wicked has become a phenomenon amongst patrons of the show and the world of musicals alike. This spin-off of the legendary Wizard of Oz story has become one of the most successful musicals to ever grace the stage. Since it was first performed off-Broadway in 2003, the show has gone on to become a permanent fixture on Broadway and the West End. It has become the 18th longest running show on Broadway and also the 25th longest running musical of all time. The popularity of the show can be measured by the fact that all recent showings have been sold out and the "sold out" sign has been nailed to the theatre doors as ALL shows are sold out. After making $100,000 within the first hour of the opening of the box office at the West End, it is also the show to have the biggest debut in West End history. Apart from its two permanent fixtures on the biggest stages in the world, productions of Wicked have toured all over the world.

About Wicked


This legendary musical takes its basic story from the 1939 film, The Wizard of Oz; but instead of focusing on the main story of Dorothy, it is something of a prequel. The musical tells the story of the Wicked Witch of the West and the Good Witch of the East in the Land of Oz. If you are familiar with the story of the film, you will be pleasantly surprised to watch as the musical unfolds the mysteries surrounding the creation of the witches and how they came to be known as the Wicked and Good witches. The story mentions a bit of the original dialogue and scenes from the film as a nod to where it gets its inspiration from but it is a truly magical and original story that will show you a different side of and the real story behind the Witches of the Land of Oz.
