The Musical

The play is inspired by Adrienne Shelly’s 2007 film titled “Waitress”. It recounts the story of Jenna, a waitress and pie-making expert who has ambitions greater than a small-town life and being stuck in her loveless marriage. Her monotonous routine is interrupted when a baking contest is announced in a nearby county and a new doctor comes to town.
