Grab onto your hair as this rendition of the original tale brings to the theatre brand new exciting characters that will leave your roaring with hilarity. The musical has been named "Rapunzel! Rapunzel! A Very Hairy Fairy Tale" and takes upon all the traditional elements that create a classic fairy tale. The story has a divine princess, a dashing prince, a fiery dragon and an evil queen and if this wasn’t enough, the writers have also thrown in several standout numbers, one of which is the absolutely catchy "It’s all about me". With a cast that consists of eight performers, the musical runs for a total of sixty minutes. This comedic musical has been put together with the help of choreographer and director, Jeremy Dumont, costume designer Tammy Spencer, hair and makeup artist Catherine Petty-Rogers and scenic designer Katie Dill.
 
This spirited production will surely dazzle the children due to the flamboyant and extravagant costumes and set designs that have been put together, while the vocal performances and acting skills will leave the adults in complete and utter awe. The story of the musical starts off by showcasing the evil Lady Za Za played by Heather Botts, who is insanely jealous of Rapunzel who is being played by Alison Hodgson, as Lady Za Za wishes to become the Queen herself. Her character has been intentionally twisted and changed to bring hilarity to her performances. With songs such as "Edge of Glory" and "Born this Way", Lady Za Za comes equipped with outrageous wigs and costumes. While she is singing about being coroneted, her loyal servants lock up Rapunzel before her eighteenth birthday in the tallest, darkest tower in a dreary forest.
 
Rapunzel longs to be rescued from the tower, constantly gagging due to her lush golden locks. The news of the trapped princess soon reaches the slightly dimwitted prince, Sir Roderick played by Jordan Miller who is on a journey with his hairdresser sidekick, Edgar played by Tanner Lee Hanley, to find the most beautiful head of hair, and save the princess. On their way they come face to face with a neurotic Gypsy Woman played by Stephanie Tovar and the dragon called Socrates, played by Greg Dulcie, who seems to have lost his fiery puff somewhere. Eventually the two are able to reach Rapunzel and rescue her with a pair of scissors, hairspray and a blow-dryer. Watch the classic fairy tale with a creative modernistic twist that will be thoroughly enjoyed by the entire family.
 
The production has been cleverly altered by the use of subversive plotting by Vogt and Friedman to create a hilarious version of the classic fairytale. The two describe fairy tales as being the best available fodder for updating, tweaking and altering that make them irresistible. The next show of "Rapunzel! Rapunzel!
