Peking Acrobats Tickets

Date & Time

No other acrobats are better than Chinese acrobats, with a civilization dating back two thousand years and filled with acrobatic performances for as long. And who better for acrobatic acts than the one and only Peking Acrobats? No other acrobats can compare to this group of highly talented acrobats trained in the ancient acrobatic acts but sufficiently modern to enchant and enthrall the audience, literally leaving them breathless. Their performances aren’t simply a form of entertainment but a form of art, an art that is getting rarer and rarer in today’s digital world. This art allows a person to connect to Chinese tradition and get to know China as something other than the producer of goods. And this company isn’t simply a new outfit of acrobats but an outfit that has been performing for around three decades since 1986.

Peking Acrobats began performing in 1986 in the US and soon after caught the eyes of many with their new yet old, redefined style of acrobatic acts, a style that captured the best of what is entertainment, art and sport performed by the very best of acrobats, those highly skilled at this. Peking Acrobats perform a good number of acts and these include the following. Maneuvers are performed on top of a ‘pagoda of chairs’, as the Peking Acrobats call it, and these include breathtakingly deadly wire walking, precision tumbling, gymnastics, trick cycling and to top it off, somersaults. Imagine that. Somersaults and gymnastics on top of a pagoda of chairs and on top of a thin wire just like the cartoons show us. You even get to see the acrobats pull stunts like cycle on top of a wire, a scene few find realistic when watching it on TV but a scene you can watch these amazing acrobats perform.

These acrobats don’t simply somersault on top of chairs or ride cycles on wires but also defy the very laws of nature with performances that show an amazing control, flexibility and contortion in movements and shapes that are both breathtaking and artistic. The Peking Acrobats go so far as to juggle numerous objects and balance in ways deemed impossible by the human mind. The performers are both graceful and agile, an elegant power of sort as opposed to the bestial power found in violence. Their performers are, to put it simply, awe inspiring. To top it off, Peking Acrobats performances have live Chinese musicians play traditional Chinese music in the background to give the performance an ancient and classic look, but technology isn’t left behind. Instead, special hi-tech effects are used and mixed with the music and feats to give an otherworld, fantasy like look.

Peking Acrobats have some very special performances lined up in celebration of their 25th Anniversary, and it will include new acts, new performances and even new music with a first time feature by the Women’s Peace Orchestra of China. The Silver Anniversary Tour or The Gala Tour features the Peking Acrobats at their very best. The Peking Acrobats don’t simply perform at live venues; they also appear on numerous TV shows and special performances on TV.  They have performed on the kid’s favorite channel, Nickelodeon in its show, Unfabulous, on Ellen’s Really Big Show featuring Ellen DeGeneres, That’s Incredible, Wide World of Sports on ABC, The Wayne Brady Show and Ring in the New Year Holiday Special on NBC. Member of Peking Acrobats have also appeared on film in mobies such as Oceans 11 featuring a cast made up of the very best in Hollywood that included George Clooney, Julia Roberts and Brad Pitt. Former Peking Acrobats performer, Shaobo Qin also acted on Oceans 12 and Oceans 13. They have also performed on the Hollywood Bowl.

And if that isn’t enough, this group of acrobats, musicians and performers has also bagged a Guinness World Record for the Human Chair Stack and featured on Guinness Book Primetime TV Show on FOX. In this act, they left the audience shocked, astounded and breathless when they stacked and balanced six people on top of six chairs, twenty one feet high without using safety lines. That was a feat no other acrobat had managed and a feat that makes you itch to see them performing live through Peking Acrobats tickets.
