Frozen The Musical: Plot and Overview
Based on the 2013 motion picture of the same name, Frozen The Musical revolves around the relationship between sisters Anna and Elsa. It is a story of love, loss and sacrifice. Anna and Elsa, the princesses of the kingdom of Arendelle, face multiple challenges.
Elsa, the older of the duo, has the power to freeze both people and objects. However, the unstable nature of her power puts everyone at risk. To keep the people of Arendelle safe from any unfortunate accidents, Elsa’s father King Agnarr orders that the castle be closed off.
It remains that way for thirteen years until the princesses lose their parents (King Agnarr and Queen Iduna) to a storm at sea. After Elsa inherits the throne, disaster strikes when Anna accidentally reveals her powers to the public. The newly-crowned queen then flees from Arendelle but inadvertently causes the kingdom to freeze in a perpetual winter.
In the process, Elsa nearly takes Anna’s life. With Arendelle frozen and no information about Elsa’s whereabouts, Anna sets out to find her sister so she can undo the spell and return normalcy to the land. To save the day, Elsa has to sacrifice and depict true love. Get your Frozen The Musical Salt Lake City UT tickets to find out how the story unfolds.
