Cirque Du Soleil: The Creative Genius of Guy Laliberté & Gilles Ste-Croix

Cirque Du Soleil was created by two visionaries and former street performers, Guy Laliberté & Gilles Ste-Croix on July 7, 1984. The duo then held the company's first show, Le Grand Tour du Cirque du Soleil which became a major success. They later staged their second show, La Magie Continue and before long, the company started to experience a sudden growth in their popularity. During the '90s and 2000s, Cirque Du Soleil expanded rapidly, staging 19 shows in more than 271 cities across every continent.

Twas the Night Before

Twas the Night Before is Cirque Du Soleil's latest seasonal show. It is an exhilarating spin on the classic 1823 Christmas poem by Clement Clarke entitled, 'A Visit from St. Nicholas' which is commonly known as 'Twas the Night Before Christmas.' This festive show vows to spark unforgettable memories in the hearts of families. This spectacle will revolve around a curious girl, Isabella who transports into an upside-down, inside-out world where she meets the characters which will be inspired by the poem.

This show will feature many exciting acts including, block balancing, aerial cart, acro lamp, hula hoops, inline skating, aerial hammock and acrobatic table. Twas the Night Before is scheduled to make its debut at The Chicago Theatre from November 27, 2019 to December 08, 2019. After that, it will be performed live at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden where it will be held from December 12, 2019 to December 29, 2019.
