Laurie Mansfield’s ‘Buddy - the Buddy Holly Story’ is a wonderfully written musical, which consists of two acts, based upon the life and career of the early rock and roll star Buddy Holly. The musical, though conceived after the film in 1978, depicts the life of Buddy Holly. The original story is written by Alan Jane and the musical is produced by Paul Elliot from West End with the support of Paul McCartney. Laurie’s sensational musical finally lit the stage of London’s West End in 1989 and successfully ran there for more than ten years.
