What is the Story?

This quirky musical is about a teenage girl, Lydia, who is obsessed with death. The Creative Team

He has previously directed Jersey Boys (2005), Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson (2010), Peter and the Starcatcher (2012), Rocky (2014), and Oh, Hello on Broadway (2016). The play's songs are written by Australian musician and composer Eddie Perfect, who has also written the songs for the play King Kong. He has previously worked as the musical director for the award-winning show Shane Warne: The Musical. The music of Beetlejuice is composed of disparate genres including heavy metal, swing jazz, folk, and reggae. Eddie Perfect has done a wonderful job with the musical score, ensuring that the different genres sound cohesive. Kris Kukal has presided over incidental music, orchestrations, and music supervision, and Connor Gallagher has worked on the choreography for this play. David Korins has handled the scenic design, William Ivey Long has worked on the costumes, Kenneth Posner has handled the lighting design, Peter Hylenski has worked on the sound design, Peter Nigrini has worked on the production design, Michael Curry has worked as the play's puppet designer, and Michael Weber has worked on special effects.

The Cast of the Play

The original movie starred Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz and Michael Keaton as the mischievous Beetlejuice. In this play, Sophia Anne Caruso will play the role of Lydia and Alex Brightman will play the role of Beetlejuice.

Alex Brightman has previously been featured in "Wicked," "Glory Days," and "Matilda." He has also been nominated for the Tony Award for his work in the play "School of Rock." Sophia Anne Caruso has been nominated for the Lucille Lortel Award for her acting in "Blackbird" and "Runaways" and "Lazarus" and "The Nether."
