The Musical’s Premiere & Productions

The jukebox musical, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical premiered in October, 2013. Directed by Marc Bruni and Jason Howland, the musical’s choreography was by Josh Prince. After a positive response, the production opened on Broadway in January, 2014 at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre. Carole King, herself made an appearance during a show on 3rd April, 2014 performing the song, ‘You’ve Got a Friend’ together with cast members, Anika Larsen, Jake Epstein and Jarrod Spector.

Current US Tour

Beautiful: The Carole King Musical is currently on its debut US National Tour with 23 shows planned for 2015 and 2016. This production will feature Abby Mueller playing the lead role of Carole King, Becky Gulsvig playing Cynthia Weil (Carole’s best friend) and Liam Tobin playing Gerry Goffin (Carole’s husband). Apart from its American tour, the musical is also being performed at London’s West End (since February, 2015).
