Not only did she sign with a label but also met her dream man, her husband Gerry Goffin, with whom she released many hit numbers. While there was no looking back for the diva as her career flourished as a songwriter and singer, the success took a toll on her personal life. Following her divorce with Goffin, she married three more times. According to her memoir titled, “A Natural Woman”, Carole King revealed that her third husband used to physically abuse her. However, it was these struggles and hardships that brought out the real artist in her and it was in this crisis time that she found her true voice.

Beautiful: The Carole King Musical is a two-time Tony Award winning musical that has achieved great success and is now on a 2017 tour.
