About the Ballet West
The Ballet West is an American ballet company, which is based in the Salt Lake City area of Utah. The company was founded in 1963 by Willam Christensen, a pioneer of 20th century ballet performances. Christensen was instrumental in helping shape a distinctly American flare to the profile of the Ballet West. Including Christensen, there have been five artistic directors at the company including Bruce Marks, John Hart, Jonas Kåge and presently Adam Sklute.
