Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame holds the Tip Off tournament every year, in which talented teams from all over the country get together to fight for the winning title. The Hall of Fame is named after the inventor of Basketball James Naismith and basically honors basketball players, coaches and trainers and gives them the due credit for all the effort and hard work they have put into the sport. Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame is located in Springfield, Massachusetts and attracts a lot of tourists every year, who are anxious to see all the Basketball memorabilia.

The Tip Off tournament held by Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame is conducted every November and is sponsored by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). The Tip Off tournament started about twenty five years ago, in Springfield, and has managed to gain a lot of popularity over the years. With the passage of time, the format of the tournament has changed, but the thrill and excitement for Basketball that the Tip Off exudes has only gotten stronger!

College basketball is a unique experience where the attendees can get to watch energetic, passionate, and talented basketball players live on the court. Watching young players give their hundred percent on the court while fighting it out to get noticed by the bigger leagues.

This year eight teams are taking part in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Tip Off tournament. These include representatives from Belmont University, University of Louisville, College of the Holy Cross, University of North Carolina, Fairfield University, University of Hartford, Hofstra University and University of Richmond. All teams are equally skilled and talented in the sport and they are expected to give each other a really tough time during the tournament.

The last two days of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Tip Off tournament will hold four sessions in which the teams will square off each other to determine the final winner. The first session features North Carolina vs. Richmond and Louisville vs. Fairfield. The second session will see the teams from Harford fighting off against Hofstra and Belmont against Holy Cross. The third and fourth sessions, which will be held the next day, will hold the Championship and Consolation games in which the winners and runners up will be determined.
