Milwaukee Brewers At Chicago Cubs Tickets

Milwaukee Brewers Vs Chicago Cubs Tickets

Date & Time

With a 86-76 record previous season, the 2018 Milwaukee Brewers are looking to build up on that. They are a young confident side competing in the National League's Central Division dominated by the Chicago Cubs. Earlier in the year, the Brewers gave a lucrative $80 million five-year contract to outfielder, Lorenzo Cain. This is the most expensive free-agent deal in the history of the franchise. The Brewers are now ready for the 2018 season and will be hosting the Chicago Cubs soon. If you want to see the two teams battle it out live on the field, grab Milwaukee Brewers Vs Chicago Cubs tickets at the earliest.

The Chicago Cubs

The Chicago Cubs started the 2017 as the defending World Series champions. The campaign may not have ended as their fans had wished, but they still gave the crowds plenty of moments to cheer. They finished the season at the top in the Central Division with a 92-70 record. With a victory over the Cardinals, the Cubs bagged the division title for the second consecutive year. They beat the Washington Nationals in the National League Division Series and advanced to square off against the Los Angeles Dodgers but eventually lost in the best of seven NL Championship Series.

The Cubs’ start to the 2018 season was not a pleasant one for their fans, with the team losing to the relatively young and inexperienced Miami Marlins and allowing them to split the four-game series. The Cubs have to improve if they want to add to their haul of three World Series titles, seventeen pennants and seven division championships.

The Milwaukee Brewers

The previous season was the team’s 48th one in Milwaukee. They finished the season with a record of 86-76 and ranked behind the Cubs in the NLCD (NATIONAL League Central Division). This was the first season in three years in which the team had finished higher than .500. In terms of winning percentage, it is the Brewers’ best season since 2011.

The Brewers have kicked off the 2018 season in spectacular fashion – with a three-game sweep of the San Diego Padres. This is the first time since 2006 that Milwaukee have opened a season with three straight wins. In 2006, they opened with an impressive five-game winning streak. The Brewers have one pennant and two division crowns to show for their efforts over the years. A strong start to the season should give them a lot of confidence for the remaining campaign.

Cubs vs Brewers

The first time the Milwaukee Brewers and the Chicago Cubs locked horns was back in June of 1997. It was a league game which led to a 4-2 victory for Milwaukee. The Brewers then joined the Central Division of the National League which is when the I-94 Tivalry between the two teams began.

During 1998 and 2006, the Cubs had some memorable moments against the Brewers. This includes Sammy Sosa hitting home runs 60, 61 and 61 on September 12 and 13 in 1998. The Brewers on the other hand really celebrated when Cubs’ Brant Brown dropped the ball on September 23, 1998.

The rivalry between the two sides grew intense in 2007 and 2008 when both teams were chasing playoff spots. One of the biggest and most popular series in this rivalry took place from July 28- 31 at the Miller Park in 2008.

The Cubs gave a good performance during the 2015 season and became the World Series champions in 2016. At this point in time, the Brewers were struggling for form and were well under .500. Although, they made a good comeback in 2017, they were not able to reach the top of the standings in the National League Central Division.

Live at the Miller Park

The Cubs-Brewers rivalry is also referred to as the I-94 Rivalry. This is because their ballparks are located at a distance of only 83.3 miles from each other off Interstate 94.

The Miller Park is home to the Brewers and features the only convertible roof (fan-shaped) in North America which can open and close in less than ten minutes. This is where the upcoming series between the Cubs and the Brewers is set to take place.

If you want to watch the I-94 Rivalry unfold live once again, grab your Milwaukee Brewers Vs Chicago Cubs tickets without any delay. The games will be a treat to watch live from the stands.
