United Mexican States also called as simply Mexico, a federal constitutional republic situated in North American continent, in the south of the United States. It is the most populous Spanish speaking country and 11th most populous country of the world having an estimated total population of 111 million. Boxing enjoys being the second most popular sport in Mexico. The number of world champions that belong to Mexico is largest in the world, second only to the United States. Many of the boxers from Mexico have been inducted to the International Boxing Hall of Fame, including Salvador Sanchez, Baby Arizmendi, Ricardo Lopez, Ruben Oliveres, Jose Napoles, Pipino Cuevas, Sugar Ramos, Chiquita Gonzalez, Daniel Zaragoza, Vicente Saldivar, Miguel Canto and Carlos Zarate, while boxers like Juan Manuel Marquez, Julio Cesar Chavez, Kid Azteca and many others have been included in World Boxing Hall of Fame.
Mexico also promotes games like basketball and baseball among its public, and it is evident by many intercontinental and international titles that belong to Mexico in these sports. The country has produced many champions in these sports that are celebrated by the nation for their outstanding performance in their respective sports.
