The Charlotte Hornets

The Charlotte Hornets were incepted in the year 1988 as the Charlotte Hornets. They qualified for the postseason in their fifth season. They went to the playoffs in six of the next nine seasons but those performances did not bring their way any championships. They ceased to operate for the next two years and returned for the 2005-2006 season.

The team qualified for the playoffs in the 2009-2010 season and then were bought by Michael Jordan. They have made two more trips to the postseason since but are yet to win any championships.

The Orlando Magic

The Orlando Magic were formed in the year 1989. Just like the Hornets, they made it to the postseason for the first time in their fifth season. In their sixth season (1994-1995), the Magic came to life. They won the division title and the conference championship.

It has been a bit of a rollercoaster ride for them since then but they have managed to clinch one more conference championship and four more division titles.
