The Flying Karamazov Brothers name is an inspiration from the world famous novel, The Brothers Karamazov, written by Fyodor Dostoevsky. The group themselves feature brothers that are based upon characters found in the novel and their stage names often reflect those in the novels. Thus, the brothers from this amazing Fyodor Dostoevsky novel are brought alive by this amazing troupe of performers. At present, the troupe is made up of Roderick Kimball as Pavel, Mark Ettinger as Alexei, Paul David Magid as Dmitri, Stephen Bent as Zossima, Ryan Dekoe as Vanechka, Andy Sapora as Nikita, Matthew Duncan, Steven Horstmann as Vanka, Dreagn Foltz  as Mitenka, Harry Levine as Kuzma and Michael Karas.
This group first started out with Howard Jay Patterson as Ivan and Paul David Magid as Dmitri back in 1973.
