The Bullets Over Broadway cast features Brooks Ashmankas, who plays the role of Warner Purcell. On Broadway, he has starred in Present Laughter, Promises, The Ritz, The Producers, Fame Becomes Me, Gypsy, Dream and How to Succeed. On television, he has played roles in The Good Wife and is a graduate of Bennington College. Zach Braff is also a member of the cast and he plays the role of David Shayne. Bullets marks his Broadway debut and he recently starred in All New People's London premiere, one of his own plays. In New York, he has played roles in Trust, Twelfth Night and Macbeth. In 2004, he wrote and directed his first movie, Garden State, which won a WGA Award nomination for Original Screenplay. He also won the National Board of Review's Best Directorial Debut and Hollywood Film Festival's Breakthrough Director.
Braff most recently played roles in Disney's Oz the Great and Powerful and is set to star in Wish I Was Here alongside Kate Hudson, Josh Gad and Mandy Patinkin. Betsy Wolfe plays the role of Ellen and is a highly successful actress, best known for the role of Rosa Bud in The Myster of Edwin Brood's revival by Roundabout Theatre. She also recently played the role of Cathy in the revival of The Last 5 Years.
