The American Rodeo was announced by Dr. Robert Cluck, the Mayor of Arlington, with Stephen Jones, the COO of the Dallas Cowboys, Randy Bernard, CEO of the Rural Media Group, Jim Haworth, CEO of the Professional Bull Riders and a number of rodeo legends. These included eight time World Champion Donnie Gay, ten time NFR Qualifier Cody Lambert, eight time World Champion Larry Mahan, two time PBR World Champion Justin McBride, nine time World Champion Ty Murray and eight time World Champion Fred Whitfield. The American Rodeo will be held at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas this year and will once again have the largest payout, in a single day, in the history of professional sports. The participants of The American Rodeo will be the top ten contestants in the whole world, as per the WNFR and the PBR World Finals.
