The Alabama Crimson Tide
The Alabama Crimson Tide are a very strong side in the NCAA Division I, with multiple titles to show. They are ranked second according to the AP Polls, only behind the Florida State Seminoles. The Crimson Tide belong to the Southeastern Conference where they are members of the Western Division. They have won ten division titles since they joined the Western Division in 1992. In the race for the conference titles, the Crimson Tide have won two dozen titles, along with an additional four titles when they were part of the Southern Conference. They hold a winning record against all the other teams in the SEC and have featured nine times in the SEC championship game.
However, what truly sets the Albama Crimson Tide apart are the number of National Titles they have won. Since beginning play in 1892, they have earned fifteen National Titles. From the start of the 2000’s the team has won three titles, in 2009, 2011 and 2012. They crossed the benchmark of more than eight hundred and fifty wins after the 2014 season concluded. The wins came at an impressive win percentage of more than eighty percent. The Crimson Tide have several other minor records as well which are recognized by the NCAA. The records include thirty five bowl victories and thirty four seasons that have had ten wins.
The Wisconsin Badgers
The Wisconsin Badgers, on the other hand, represent the University of Wisconsin. They are were formed in 1889 and became the founding members of the Big Ten Conference when it was formed in 1896. They have secured over six hundred and fifty wins at a win ratio of almost point six. The Badgers have shown time and again that they are capable of defeating the best teams, having defeated the top ranked teams four times. Two of the victories came over Ohio State, while one was against Michigan and the other against Northwestern. The Badgers have played in twenty six bowl games and have won fourteen times. The Badgers have an impressive record in the Big Ten Conference with fourteen titles to their name. Their most recent titles came back to back from 2010 to 2012.
The first AdvoCare Classic held in 2009 was contested between the Oklahoma Sooners and the BYU Cougars. The Cougars won the game, fourteen to thirteen, which was seen by more than seventy thousand people. The TCU Horned Frogs were the winners in 2010, while the LSU Tigers overcame the Oregon Ducks to win the AdvoCare Classic in 2011. The 2012 edition which featured the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Michigan Wolverines, had the highest attendance for this annual game. An audience of more than ninety thousand four hundred people showed up to the game. The Crimson Tide demolished the Wolverines scoring forty one goals in response to the fourteen by the Wolverines. In 2013 and 2014 the LSU Tigers and the Florida State Seminoles were victorious.
