The 2009 How Sweet the Sound was a huge success as always. No less than one million people attended this event. The choir toured 11 cities of United States, Houston TX, St. Louis MO, Washington DC, Philadelphia PA, Newark NJ, Detroit MI, Atlanta GA, Memphis TN, Los Angeles CA and Oakland CA. the finale of 2009 was held in Detroit and it was a remarkable celebration with sweet voices of the choir. The winner of 2009 How Sweet the Sound finale was the choir of Atlanta West Pentecostal Church who won 45,000 US dollars for their respective church. Judges for 2009 How Sweet the Sound were Donald Lawrence, Lisa-Kimmey Winans and Marvin Sapp.
