Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes has been recording music since 1976. The band has released twelve studio albums to date. Its debut record I Don't Want to Go Home features a number of duets and appearances by some guest artists. Notable singles from the album include "Sweeter than Honey," "I Choose to Sing the Blues," "How Come You Treat Me So Bad" and the title track of the record.
The group is closely associated with The E Street Band and Bruce Springsteen and has also recorded with them. The musicians have recorded and performed many Springsteen songs such as "Fade Away" and "The Fever." Bruce has also performed with Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes on many occasions as well as made a guest appearance on the album Better Days in 1991.
