Born in 1943, Randolph Charles Bachman is a legendary artist known for founding the sixties rock ensemble “The Guess Who”. This songwriter and guitarist also founded another band in the seventies named “Bachman-Turner Overdrive”. Known for his famous guitar playing style, this artist entered the music industry in 1960. Along with band members Chad Allan, Bob Ashley, Jim Kale and Garry Peterson, Bachman released a Canadian chart topping hit called “Shakin’ All Over” in 1965, after which another song “American Woman” made it to the very top of both American and Canadian Charts in 1970. Suffering from health problems, Bachman left the band when it was at its prime and was seen recording a solo album with RCA Records in 1970. It was during this time that Randy Bachman along with his brother Robbie Bachman decided to create the band, Bachman-Turner Overdrive. With band members Fred Turner, Blair Thornton, Tim Bachman and Jim Clench, Randy released a total of eleven studio albums out of which two received Platinum certification and three went Gold.
