Before embarking on a solo career, Omarion was part of the acclaimed hip-hop band B2K. Approached by band manager Chris Stokes, Omarion joined the band as lead singer. The group made their first appearance on the US Billboard charts with single “Uh Huh.” Their self-titled debut album peaked on the Billboard 200 at number two. The band became even more famous after their performances at the Scream Tours.
Other notable singles by B2K include “Gots Ta Be” and “Bump Bump Bump.” After the band disbanded, Omarion began a solo career, and released his debut album in 2005.

The versatile artist made a name for himself as an actor with several successful movie roles to his credit. He appeared in the box office hit. You Got Served as well as movies like. The Proud Family Movie and Fat Albert. He also served as a judge on MTV’s dance reality show, America’s Best Dance Crew.
