George Thorogood The Destroyers
During his childhood he was an avid baseball player and fan and during this time he was not very much into music. In the year 1970, he saw acclaimed blues guitarist John P Hammond play live and this proved to be a turning point in the life of George and he decided to take up music as a full time career. George has been active in the music industry since the year 1974 and has got long term associations with a number of recording labels like Rounder Records, EMI, Eagle and MCA. Most of his initiall releases were under Rounder Records and this played an important role in making the company a popular folk rock label.
