About Sarah Jarosz

Sarah Jarosz rose to fame when she released her first album in 2009, labeled Song Up in Her Head, whose song received a Grammy Award nomination as the Best Country Instrumental Performance. In 2011, she released her second studio album, labeled Follow Me Down. Behind this is a childhood growing up in Texas where she learned how to play the mandolin when just ten years old, going on to learn how to play the clawhammer banjo, octave mandolin and the guitar. While still in high school, she was signed onto Sugar Hill Records and released her first album.
Her first album was produced by Gary Paczosa with guest musicians including Chris Thile, Stuart Duncan, Darrell Scott and Jerry Douglas. Following this, she went on to study at the highly acclaimed New England Conservatory of Music in 2009.  In 2010, she recorded an album titled as Follow Me Down, co–producing it with Gary Paczosa. Recorded in Nashville, the American capital of country music, it featured such guest musicians as Bela Fleck, Stuart Duncan, Jerry Douglas, Viktor Krauss, Shawn Colvin, Dan Tyminski, Darrell Scott, Nathaniel Smith and Alex Hargreaves.
Following this, she played live at a number of concerts with many of her fans quickly buying up the cheap Sarah Jarosz tickets. She then went on to collaborated with the Punch Brothers to release a cover of the Radiohead hit single, The Tourist.
