Mickey Guyton Tampa Tickets
Born in 1983 in Arlington, Guyton’s attention turned to music when she was only eight. Her impressionable mind was inspired when she watched LeAnn Rimes’ rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner at the beginning of a baseball game. In 2011, Guyton’s career officially began as she signed with Capitol Records Nashville. Three years later she released her debut EP, Unbreakable, and started work on her debut album.
“Better Than You Left Me”
Together with Jenn Schott and Jennifer Hanson, Guyton wrote her first single, “Better Than You Left Me”. The single was first performed live at the Grand Ole Opry in January 2015 and was released commercially two days later. The song entered the Country Airplay at number 56 and reached a peak position of 34. It also peaked at number 42 on the Canadian Country Chart.
Guyton has stated the song was inspired by her breakup with an ex boyfriend, who came back to her once she had sung for the President of the United States. In a genre dominated by white men, Guyton has started carving a niche for herself. The African American artist is a talented song writer with a powerful voice which can move you.
