George Strait Vince Gill
Born and raised in Texas, George Strait began polishing his music talents in high school alongside his rock ‘n’ roll garage band. With time, a few musicians like Hank Williams, Frank Sinatra, Merle Haggard and Hank Thompson began to influence young George and his music preference shifted towards the country genre. While studying at the Southwest Texas State University, George Strait formed a country band called the Ace in the Hole Band. Together, they began performing live at several bars.
