During the seventies, when rock and roll music was so popular around the world, there were many artists who tried to combine it with other genres to appeal to a wide variety of people. Alabama is amongst the first few bands that managed to accomplish the feat, when they merged rock music with the country sound to create something that would forever be associated with their name.

Can't Keep a Good Man Down
The band was created in 1969 and originally consisted of four main members, which included Randy Owen (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Teddy Gentry (bass guitar, background vocals), Jeff Cook (lead guitar, background vocals, fiddle, keyboards) and Jackie Owen (drums, percussion).
They released their first album, titled “Wild Country” in 1976 and the album failed to make much of an impact on the music industry. These disappointments continued with their next two albums as well, and it wasn’t until they released their 1980 record “My Home's in Alabama” that they finally enjoyed some success.
Close Enough to Perfect
The album made it to number three on the US Country music charts and was certified two times platinum around the country. They have since released a total of twenty three albums to date, with fourteen recording either platinum or multiplatinum sales in the US and eight topping the US Country music charts.
After they released their latest effort “Southern Drawl” after a gap of fourteen years, they also announced plans to go out on tour. If you get your Alabama Enoch tickets, then you too can enjoy their performance, live in concert.
