Circa Survive Tickets
Furiously blazing guitars & hazy shrouded lyrics might have looked out of place for a much-followed music act a few decades back, when audiences were more reserved against radical experimentation. Neo-progressive rock is, however, embedded deeply in the music industry since mid-2000s. The frenzy surrounding bands breaking out with an experimental has been so great that indie, from “independent” bands not signed to major labels, is now a massive genre, & Circa Survive is the latest addition to a long list of bands breaking norms; & getting rich dividends too! Circa Survive is comprised of former Saosin singer Anthony Green & a few members related to defunct act This Day Forward: Colin Frangicetto, Brendan Ekstrom, Nick Beard & Steve Clifford. Green primarily acts as lead vocalist, yet his guitar contributions are also a growing influence. The Philadelphia-based act has released three albums, & not only have sales been steadily growing, but the critical reviews have continued their upward trend. Circa Survive tickets are hot property on the ticket market, with fans taking full advantage of the band’s hectic touring schedule.

Circa Survive’s musical style is progressive & experimental rock. Green’s complex lyrics, which allow for a variety of interpretations, perfectly complement varying musical arrangements, though the meaty punch of hard rock is evident in every track. And it was to avoid compromise on this same creative instinct that forced the formation of Circa Survive. At the time joined to California-based Saosin, Green had visited his dentist & girlfriend in Philadelphia suburb Doylestown, when he had an epiphany on his way back that made him go back home. Green felt that signing up to a major label (Saosin were due to join Capitol Records) was something he wasn’t prepared for this early as it would stifle his creative freedom as an artist. He also cited homesickness as a reason, & joined up with former This Day Forward rhythm guitarist Frangicetto, who was also busy building a career as an abstract art painter. Frangicetto helped in recruiting former band-mate Brendon Ekstrom, & through further connections made while touring, Clifford & Beard joined Circa Survive. A four-track EP, The Inuit Sessions, was the first minor release, but the band dived into mainstream with 2005’s Juturna, in collaboration with Equal Vision Records. It helped build a conscious following, & fans egged the band on to further promote their music. The album was inspired by abstract films, & the lyrical pattern returned in their next offering, On Letting Go. A period of hectic touring followed, & Green indulged in some solo work meanwhile that culminated in the release of Avalon. Returning to the Circa Survive fold, he sharpened his grip on the guitar to contribute to the third album, Blue Sky Noise. It received great critical acclaim, & Circa Survive joined Atlantic Records. A second EP, Appendage, has been released.
“Act Appalled”, “Holding Someone’s Hair Back” & “The Great Golden Baby” were superlative tracks that had the signature Circa Survive snarling guitars & aggressive drumming. They were first released on The Inuit Sessions, but later were mass-released on the debut album Juturna, which peaked at #183 on the Billboard Hot 100. Juturna has sold 74, 896 copies to date. On Letting Go bettered that considerably, debuting at #24, accumulating a record of 51,357 copies sold. The album did not deviate much from Circa Survive’s distinct style, & tightened some of the drumming & guitar arrangement. Blue Sky Noise was released in 2010 & debuted at #11 on the charts. MySpace has it currently listed among the top albums of the year, mainly on the strength of slick production & songs like the hard-hitting rock barrage in “Get Out” & the mellow mild-pace tempo of “I Felt Free”. Green has maintained a steadily increasing fan base through the band’s website, with regular teasers of new songs.
Circa Survive has toured extensively, playing with the likes of Dredg, My Chemical Romance, & Bad Religion. They performed at the Vans Warped Tour 2007 & New Jersey’s Bamboozle Festival 2005-2008 in front of thousands with Circa Survive tickets. They are well-loved for their humorous props & dresses onstage. The innovations even extend to throwing fluorescent beach balls in the crowd & playing with a silent movie projected onstage. The band has kept its creative edge & is currently touring in support of it latest album. Fans will be waiting for a chance to grab hold of Circa Survive tickets when the serial rockers come to town.
